A real estate agency with offices in Miami Beach and Coral Gables landed $ 1 billion in prestige and luxury sales in just four months, thanks to a wave of migration to South Florida amid the COVID-pandemic 19.
The Jills Zeder group is among the first in the United States to reach this milestone, according to his team.
The agency, which is affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty, is made up of three families: Jill Hertzberg and her children Danny and Hillary Hertzberg, sisters Jill and Felise Eber, and Judy Zeder and her children Nathan Zeder and Kara Zeder Rosen.
“Reaching $ 1 billion in sales in just over four months in 2021 is a gargantuan achievement and a reflection of the team’s dedication to excellence,” said Ryan Gorman, President and CEO of Coldwell Banker Real Estate in a press release. “The Jills Zeder Group represents the very best in the real estate industry and is an exceptional team of talented and knowledgeable South Florida real estate experts.
Jill Eber, Associate Broker and one of the founders of the Jills Zeder Group, says Miami-Dade County is an opportunity for tech and financial companies looking to relocate or expand their offices so they can enjoy the lifestyle luxury, tax benefits, low mortgage rates and climate.
Eber said hot spots like Miami Beach and Coral Gables are increasingly popular places for migrant business workers looking for the condo or single-family home of their dreams.
“At first people were very uncomfortable,” Eber said. “All amenities have been closed in the condos. People didn’t want to get on the elevator.
But since the start of the year, the luxury real estate agency has sold nearly 160 transaction faces and listed more than 80 properties after experiencing a strong surge in the single-family and condominium markets which continue to increase.
“Of course in a condo you have these lovely decks, so it’s a lot of the outdoors and people have become a lot more comfortable with that,” Eber said.
Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and a sharp increase in the number of buyers looking for single-family homes, the Jills Zeder Group has been able to frequently close transactions remotely.
“There was so much that we’re continuing today,” Eber said. “Having to work from home, all of our staff working from home, it was very, very difficult. ”
Some of the sales in 2020 and early 2021 include properties in Indian Creek Island, Gables Estates, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Cocoplum, Snapper Creek, Hammock Lakes, Ponce Davis, Pinecrest, Miami Beach, Fisher Island, according to the agency. , Star Island, La Gorce Island, Sunset Islands and Palm Beach County.
On Fisher Island, the team made $ 71.5 million in closing sales in 2020 and $ 130.7 million so far this year. The Jills Zeder group recently represented both seller and buyer in a $ 16.25 million sale of an 8,420 square foot home on Fisher Island to married couple Caroline Wozniacki, the second tennis player in the world, and David Lee, two-time NBA All-Star.
“We’ve had bidding wars in all of these areas in single family homes. On Fisher Island, the market has been more active than I have ever seen, ”Eber said. “I think that we are currently in a healthy and active environment in our market.
Eber believes this trend is here to stay.
“It will definitely continue. Now, finally, Europe is opening up. We haven’t even started to see people coming from Europe or Brazil yet. We just get a trickle and from Mexico and South America. I think that’s going to push our market up in the future, ”Eber said.
