A real estate agency with offices in Miami Beach and Coral Gables landed $ 1 billion in prestige and luxury sales in just four months, thanks to a wave of migration to South Florida amid the COVID-pandemic 19.

Eber said hot spots like Miami Beach and Coral Gables are increasingly popular places for migrant business workers looking for the condo or single-family home of their dreams.

“At first people were very uncomfortable,” Eber said. “All amenities have been closed in the condos. People didn’t want to get on the elevator.

But since the start of the year, the luxury real estate agency has sold nearly 160 transaction faces and listed more than 80 properties after experiencing a strong surge in the single-family and condominium markets which continue to increase.

“Of course in a condo you have these lovely decks, so it’s a lot of the outdoors and people have become a lot more comfortable with that,” Eber said.

On Fisher Island, the team made $ 71.5 million in closing sales in 2020 and $ 130.7 million so far this year. “We’ve had bidding wars in all of these areas in single family homes. On Fisher Island, the market has been more active than I have ever seen, ”Eber said. “I think that we are currently in a healthy and active environment in our market.

Eber believes this trend is here to stay.

“It will definitely continue. Now, finally, Europe is opening up. We haven’t even started to see people coming from Europe or Brazil yet. We just get a trickle and from Mexico and South America. I think that’s going to push our market up in the future, ”Eber said.
