What has been your greatest professional achievement or your most notable project, transaction or transaction in 2020? Our greatest achievement in 2020 has been to ensure the safety and employment of all of our staff during these uncertain times.
What are your forecasts for commercial real estate in 2021? My feeling is that the rental market will continue to be slow until the vaccine has been distributed to a majority of the world’s population and the economy begins to show constant signs of recovery. Once people are allowed to move and return to work, both here and abroad, things will improve. The business landscape, both office and retail, will continue to be strained, and industrial and life sciences will continue to be in demand due to the ‘new normal’ brought on by the pandemic. .
What aspects of working from home did you enjoy the most? Our business and related services were deemed essential; as a result, a subset of our staff, including myself, has not left the office since the pandemic was declared.
What was the hardest part of the job during the 2020 pandemic? The unique situation caused by the pandemic forced us to try new operational approaches, test and revise as we continue to weather the crisis. The safety of our employees and residents has always been at the forefront of operations – – all unknowns have made meeting this imperative more difficult. The second place to safety was simply to provide a service; With constrained supply chains, planning was constantly changing based on the availability of materials and the availability of our extensive workforce of suppliers. Fortunately, our owners and residents have understood the growing challenges.
