In-Person Event for Real Estate Business Builders in Vero Beach | Ellen Contreras

Whether you’re a top grower or just got your real estate license, growing your business is key to your career. Every industry has its cycles. Real estate agents and brokers know this all too well. Unfortunately, the Great Recession started with the bursting of the mortgage bubble and now we are seeing huge increases in house prices nationwide.

Successful real estate agents understand that continuing education is what separates them from the rest, and that it’s not just about taking courses to earn CE credits. Aligning yourself with a mentor and getting involved in a network of top producers will go a long way towards achieving the goals you have set for yourself as a real estate agent.

Another important thing to do is attend webinars and seminars on a wide range of real estate topics to keep up to date with industry best practices. Next week, such an in-person event will take place at the Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce on April 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The event, Key Steps on How to Set Yourself in this Real Estate Market, will cover several topics. Participants will learn tips on starting a business, the ins and outs of contracts – the do’s and don’ts, and compliance. There will be something for real estate agents and brokers at all levels, whether you have just received your license (or are currently studying), are in the middle of your career or are a top producer.

The guest speaker is Sallie Wagner and her background is very impressive. Sallie is a licensed real estate broker and real estate instructor. She is co-owner of a real estate school, Prosperity Learning Group, and owner of Intentional Life Coaching. Sallie also co-owns and operates Brokerage and Compliance Resources LLC, providing brokerage and compliance consulting services to various real estate brokerage firms throughout Florida. She is a Florida licensed attorney and award-winning author.

Sallie’s legal career spans over 30 years where she has provided legal and real estate services to governments, corporations and individuals. She has experience in telecommunications, energy/propane supplier, title insurance and healthcare. She has testified before Congress regarding the provision of legal services. Sallie also presented financial and tax analysis to Congress regarding proposed legislation affecting multifamily housing.

For four decades, Sallie has studied and implemented principles of transformational success, which has elevated her success as a top producer. As a sought-after international speaker, trainer and certified coach, Sallie’s workshops and coaching programs guide participants to identify goals, overcome limitations and achieve results. Sallie specializes in helping business leaders and individuals build their dreams, accelerate their results, and create richer, more fulfilling lives.

It is for these reasons that Debbi Goodman Venturina, co-owner of Your Home Inspections, asked Sallie to be the featured speaker at this event which she is co-producing with Ellen Contreras of Treasure Coast Connector, LLC.

Debbi and her husband, Dwayne Venturina, enjoy attending networking events to get to know other members of the community while growing their business. Now that more and more people are looking to get out of their offices and connect in person, Debbi thought it was the perfect time to create an event that combined networking while offering something valuable to attendees. Think of it as a mini-conference.

The content for this event has been designed for brokers, real estate agents and aspiring real estate professionals. Anna Valencia Tillery, Vice President of Marketing for White Glove Moving, Storage and Delivery is the breakfast sponsor. Anna understands the value of educational events as she is also the producer of the incredibly popular Treasure Coast Premier Women’s Network.

Anna produces three educational networking meetings per month for the tri-county area for women in business. Full details can be found on her site – Treasure Coast Premier Women’s Network, as well as an active Facebook page with thousands of members and an online business directory.

To register for the educational/networking real estate event, go to Although the event is free, places are limited, so it is important to register so that the room is set up to accommodate everyone as well as breakfast, which will be Panera Bread – coffee, juice orange, cream cheese bagels, pastries and egg soufflé molds.

Be sure to bring a notepad, pen, and plenty of business cards. Arrive early at 8:30 a.m. to mingle and network with attendees while enjoying breakfast. After Sallie gives her talk, there will be time for questions and answers to address specific real estate issues as they relate to business building, contracting and compliance.

Chamber President Bob McCabe and Board Member Deb Avery will also be on hand to answer any questions about the community and share any resources they have to offer. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Vero Beach and Indian River County.

Sallie and Debbi were recently interviewed on iHeart radio about the event. If you would like to be kept up to date with other networking and business events produced by this group, please follow me on Newsbreak.
