On December 13, the global real estate consultancy said Stone had been hired as the senior and regional director of property management services.
He will be based in the company’s Morristown office and will be responsible for leading and expanding the segment across the Garden State; Philadelphia Cream; Long Island and Westchester County in New York; Fairfield County, Connecticut; and in Boston.
“The addition of Eric to our team underscores Avison Young’s commitment to recruiting and retaining the best local talent to provide our clients with the best service in all industries,” said Dorothy Alpert, Director by Avison Young and President of the Tri-State. “We are delighted that Eric is joining the Avison Young team. “
Stone brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience to the role, according to the firm. Most recently, he was responsible for a 23 million square foot portfolio in New Jersey, Fairfield and Westchester, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh counties. According to Stone’s LinkedIn profile, he spent time with Newmark, GVA Williams, and Simon Property Group.
He has been a member of several boards and committees and has held public office. In addition, said Avison Young, he has received industry accolades, most notably the Outstanding Building of the Year award recognized by the Building Owners and Managers Association International.
“Eric’s professional background in managing REMS in the North East region was the perfect fit as we looked to bring in a seasoned local leader to develop and oversee our regional team,” said Randel Waites, Principal and general manager of property management services in the United States.
