Ms Bonnici, 48, has been regularly on the list – which recognizes the country’s top 50 based on residential sales data – since its launch several years ago. The leaderboard uses three main metrics to definitively rank participants using a comparative score: number of properties sold, total dollar volume of properties sold, and average sale value over a 12-month period. Ms. Bonnici of Warilla has sold more than $ 86 million worth of goods, with an average sale price of $ 738,485. It sold 117 residential properties in the 2020 calendar year, with the average listing having recovered after 126 days on the market. Ms. Bonnici has worked in the real estate industry for 16 years. She was first encouraged by her father to give it a try, as he thought she would be good at it. Ms Bonnici thanked her staff and said the ranking was good recognition for the hard work during a “great year”, in which they had to adapt to changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic . She said the area’s housing boom was heavily boosted by Sydney residents, who were looking to relocate and work from home due to the pandemic. “They believed that if they had to come back a few days a week, they could still travel from the Shellharbour area to Sydney,” she said. “And we started doing online auctions … we’re just trying to scale with the times.” Meanwhile, Jacqueline Crapp of Raine & Horne, which sells in the Berry, Nowra and Bomaderry area, was ranked 32nd.
