I’m in Blogging Idol 2! Let’s meet the rest of the 120+ participants in this competition that runs from 01 November to 30 November this year (2008).

The Competitors

This time, there are 121 bloggers who have signed up to compete in Blogging Idol 2! I have yet to talk to any of them, but have visited their blogs and thought that a link love from this page will help them out in their pursuit for the top prizes.

Blogging Idol 2’s Rules… in short

Blogging Idol 2 was organized by Daniel Scocco from DailyBlogTips.

To win this contest, participants will be awarded points for the following criteria:

  • 1 point to the competitor with the highest increase on the number of RSS subscribers
  • 3 points to the competitors (one for each) with the highest number of votes on the open voting session
  • 3 points awarded by a panel of judges

Of course, not everyone would have started off in a completely level playing field as there are number of blogs out there who have already a rather huge following (in the thousands, not more than 2000). That’s where the open voting session and the points from the panel of judges will come in helpful for blog owners who started out with lesser than like lets say, 50 subscribers.

Why I Dig This Competition?

This would be my first ever time participating in any contest in years! Okay, that wasn’t true. The last ever game I played was during my friend’s birthday party which I had won a bottle of champagne not more than a month ago.

However, this marks my first actual time taking part in an online competition. It will be way awesome to get to meet more cool bloggers and subscribers over in this period from 1 Nov to 30 Nov through this contest. Any awards or winning the overall event will be even sweeter!

Blogging Idol 2 would serve as a motivational tool for myself into focusing on writing even better articles, implementing marketing strategies that works, and giving more of myself to you!
